The ELM0010 module is a brake control unit that supplies 105 VDC from a 600 VAC power source. The brake release action is controlled by a dry contact connected to the unit. In addition, the module includes an override mode to improve brake response time. This is achieved by supplying the brake with twice its rated voltage for half a second. The module is pre-mounted on a backplate and includes its own bypass protection for easy connection and assembly inside the motor control panel.
